Biography

The Country Kittens, Bethan Williams and Cherry Evans, began singing together in Wales 6 years ago when they were 15 and 13.  Cherry´s mum is Angie Evans, a well-loved line dancing teacher and events organiser on the Costa Blanca, so the girls grew up with country music being blasted out of radios almost all of their lives. They kind of had no choice but to love it!!

In 2005 The Country Kittens appeared on the front cover of Linedancer Magazine, which also contained a feature about them.

Both girls framed this copy as it was such an accolade for two young girls from a small town in Wales.  The following year they won the most prestigious award of Rising Stars for the Linedancer Magazine.

Their first two albums, "Introducing Country Kittens" and "Easy Tiger", were produced by the world famous Dave Sheriff, who has since become a personal friend. Dave wrote the heading track for the girls with Gaye Teather choreographing the dance and it was extremely well received in the UK.

Their latest albums, "Heartbreaker" and "Black and White", sold very well as the music is up-beat and lively.  The Country Kittens favour the Dixie Chicks, Leanne Rhimes and modern country music but also incorporate the old favourites as they manage to guage the needs of each audience . Like Angie, they like to bring a bit of fun to their performances.....you will understand if you have seen "Suds in the Bucket"!

The Country Kittens have been delighted to appear at the last two Costa Fiesta festivals held on the Costa Blanca and are already booked for next year.

They are young women who love singing country music with a kick!!
